THE WEEK SO FAR

 
 
Sunday morning brunch - pikelets, jam and cream with mum because we can!!
 
 
New Chrysanthemums planted and mulched

 
First frost of winter two days in!

 
the start of Naomi's memorial garden in our back yard. 

 
Promise of stunning flowers to come very shortly!!

  1. Pikelets...yummy!...must admit, I have them with BUTTER, jam AND cream! (same with scones).

Julie - so do I but I don't tell many people that - too many people in this world think they have to tell me I don't need butter when I have cream - I disagree - you HAVE to have butter with jam and cream!! Same with peanut butter on fresh bread - I have to have butter with it otherwise I won't eat it!!

  3. I've never heard of pikelets, but it looks yummy! Love the idea of a memorial garden :) You have lots of blooms on the Christmas cactus. I have two, but I think I thoroughly killed the biggest by putting it in full sun by mistake. The smaller one (bright pink like yours) is blooming like crazy at the moment as I gave it some fertilizer. Lesson learned with cactus.

    1. Pikelets are just small pancakes Wendy - pick them up in your hands and eat them in 3 or 4 bites!!! Quick and easy snack for hungry kids or lazy sunday mornings!!
